As a volunteer with TEJO you participate in a beautiful project for young people in Antwerp and you are part of a multidisciplinary team based in a very snug house in the Bredestraat 2 in Antwerp. Are you interested in cooperating as a therapist of as a host mum or dad?

• TEJO is looking for voluntary therapists. Many hands make light work!

TEJO leans for its activity (short-term therapy, free and anonymous, for youngsters between 10 and 20) almost completely on volunteers. Given the fact that we want to be available for young people every single weekday and on Saturday afternoons, we need a lot of voluntary therapists. Within TEJO you always work as part of a team of volunteers. TEJO provides training and supervision on a regular basis. We always try to be present with a minimum of 4 therapists.

For organizational reasons and to ensure a decent follow-up of the youngster voluntary therapists should be present a minimum of 4 hours every 2 weeks (preferably a unit of 4 hours, but it can be split into 2 times 2 hours). The executive committee is the volunteer’s contact point.

It is the intention that the young people who present themselves at TEJO feel being taken care of in an open and relaxed atmosphere.
